In
order to provide the proper environment for Nashville's Lifeway Christian
Resources’ Data Center, Governair, the engineering firm Smith, Seckman,
Reid and TBCo designed a replacement unit. The unit was a split system,
which included redundancy, two supply fans and two VFDs. Each fan delivers
about 85% of the required CFM. For cooling requirements, an oversized air
cooled condensing unit is used. It has three independent refrigerant
circuits, each with hot gas bypass and low ambient control to -20 F. To
control the humidity, a steam humidifier and hot gas reheat coil were
installed. In the event that heat was needed, a hot water coil was
included. |
