This month we’re featuring Alan Green, our TBCo VP and Nashville Branch Manager.
Alan will celebrate his 25-year anniversary with Tom Barrow Company this spring and has managed three branches during that time. Since joining the TBCo Nashville team as branch manager in May 2023, he has developed a strong sense of pride in the branch and the city! When asked what makes the Nashville branch unique, he didn’t hold back. “Everything about ‘Nashvegas’ is unique and better! Our Broadway is better, and obviously our hot chicken is the best. We don’t need to prove how good we are – everyone knows it!”
Longevity, stability, and innovation are additional points of pride for Alan. “Don Stewart opened this branch and managed it for 37 years. That stability is still clear to see when you look at how long people continue working here.” The Nashville team is also responsible for the success of the customer appreciation food truck concept that has been adapted by multiple TBCo branches.
The Nashville team is currently working on an exciting high-profile project, the Link Building at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, a new tower that will provide 470,000 square feet of additional inpatient beds, operating rooms, clinics, and office space. TBCo sales engineer, Chase Lanning, initially worked with the Link Building design team to select units, and Tom Barrow Company was the obvious choice for air handlers. As the project progressed, Chase and his team, including project coordinator, Jeanne Hock, impressed the building team with their attention to detail, making them the right choice to provide everything as the buildouts take place.
Alan and his family recently moved to Tennessee when he transitioned from his role as branch manager of TBCo Pensacola to his new role leading the Nashville team. They are looking forward to spending the summer enjoying the outdoors and long days boating on the lake. “I said I would never move north of SW Florida, but here we are with below freezing temperatures at our house here in Nashville and 10” of snow, so never say never!”
